As the founder and owner of Caitlin’s Casting, Addi has an extensive background in the performing arts, having appeared in stage productions across the country (State Theatre (PACT), Civic Theatre, Sand du Plessis (PACOFS) and Port Elizabeth Opera House) in Camelot (Kate Normington and Gaynor Young), Merry Widow, Great Waltz, My Fair Lady, Queen at the Opera, Steamin, Celebration, Bravo. Addi has appeared in numerous TV commercials, was one of the performers on the field for the Rugby World Cup – 1995 and choreographed dance scenes in a feature film during 1996, whilst directing cabaret shows. She has an extensive teaching background – qualified and accredited with The Royal Academy of Dancing (ARAD)
Addi was a runner up in 2003 and then finalist in 2004 for the Nedcor Business Achiever Award (and sat on the panel of judges in 2007), and was nominated for Shoprite Checkers women of the year 2005. She was interviewed twice on Carte Blanche about her life story (moving out of her own performing and redeveloping herself into the business arena) during 2004, appeared on World News in 2005 and in the same year showcased her business profile in Paris and New York. Addi has been interviewed on SABC World News plus Lets Talk with Mel on MNET including recently Morning Live and SABC News DSTV, She has also appeared in various publications i.e. Sarie Mag, Destiny Mag, Essentials Mag, Elle Mag, Glamour Mag, Leef, Sandton Chronicle, Get it Mag, and Citizen newspaper, to mention but a few. Addi won an international award in 2006 for her contribution to women’s empowerment and community upliftment. Here Addi had the opportunity to meet and work with some of our country’s greats....George Bizos and Desmond Tutu. Addi has also had the opportunity to personally meet one of her all time great acting hero’s....John Malkovitch and dance legend Frankie Manning.
Addi directed and trained 40 of her artistes ranging from 4 – 18 years old, for fashion shows for both Foschini and The Edcon group JET, which was aired on DSTVs Good Morning Africa – Channel 114, Africa Magic. During 2013 Addi was instrumental in bringing Hollywood acting coach Michelle Danner (film director of Hello Herman, starring Norman Reedus) to SA, to teach masterclasses. (Youtube video)
